What is enjambment in poetry?

How is it used in an actual poem?

Or enjambement is breaking of a syntactic unit (a phrase or a sentence) on the end of a line or between two verses. (for ex: "We are such stuff As dreams are made of, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep." (Shakespeare)
